Kangana Ranaut a well know, passionate Bollywood actress was born in 1984 to Asha, a school teacher and Amardeep, a businessman. Rangoli and Akshit kangana's elder sister and younger brother. She was born in a village Bhambla in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. She completed her schooling from DAV Modern School sector-15, Chandigarh before moving to Shimla. Later she did her high schooling in Shimla. She started her carrier from Delhi.She did her bachlor in Science, Delhi in march 2005. She joined Elite Modelling Agency situated in Delhi 2003 for becoming a successful model but did'nt get success. later she joined a carrier theatre group during the period 2003-2005 as a theatre actor before relocating to Mumbai. Kangana knocked the door of Mumbai in early 2004 and struggled hard to get in movie, but she failed and went back to Delhi for the completion of her education in 2004.
Kangana joined Asha Chandra's acting school to brush up herself to face Camera. Struggling for nearly two years she met Anurag Basu in September 2005 and was selected for "Gangster". Kangana started her carrier with Ashmita Theatre group and was rained under eminent director Arvind Gaur. Girirsh karnad's taledanda was the first play with Arvind Gaur, where she played role of both the genders.

Later she moved to Mumbai from where she started her film carreir. She met Mahesh Bhatt in 2006 and signed for the movie Gangster. In the same year she signed Woh Lamhe. Later kangana signed another movie with Anurag Basu "Life in a Metro", where she played a role of a confused girl. She in was also Scene in "Shakalaka Boom Boom" in 2007 as an aspiring singer. Fashion starring with Kangna, Priyanka Chopra, Mugdha Godse, which was released on October 29, 2008, made Kangna as a successful actress.
