Bollywood stars have spoken out to express their support for Shah Rukh Khan after he was detained by US authorities because his surname was on a list of common terrorist names.The actor had flown to the US to celebrate Indian Independence Day alongside other Bollywood names such as Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor. Director Karan Johar, who is helming Khan’s forthcoming feature My Name Is Khan, said that he was shocked.What I feel that what happened today [Saturday] is very unfortunate and we need to know why did that happen to him, because I think there is no reason that he had to go through all that.
When asked about the similiarities between the security incident and the premise of his new film, Johar added: “Sometimes it is just bizarre and strange. No one can think that real and reel life can sometime go this parallel. Priyanka Chopra tweeted from her Twitter account: “Shocking, disturbing and downright disgraceful.
