Why Kangna likes scars

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut is very disturb these days. The producer of one of her forthcoming films has said that her nonappearance from the sets due to her foot fracture has cost them a whopping Rs1.5 crore as the film was not insured.The actor, who has been at home since she broken her foot while doing a bike stunt, says, “It is not nice to hear that the people you are working with are counting money at a time when I can’t even move. I can also point fingers. Even I can say that there was no proper trainer to do the stunt that led to the fracture.

Or that safety measure was not taken while doing such a dangerous stunt. There are things over which you don’t have control and no one is to be blamed for those. It was a freak accident.” However, this accident hasn’t deterred her never-say-die attitude even one bit. Though it would leave a permanent scar on her fractured leg, she doesn’t want to go in for plastic surgery.
“I hate plastic surgeries. So, though I will have a scar on my foot, it’s okay. I like scars. They remind you of the experiences you go through in life,” she says.

Kangna will now go for a stem cell surgery. She says, “I will be back on my feet soon and complete shooting. Doctors have told me that the stem cell surgery would help me get back to action speedily.”Though she might be on her feet soon, there are certain things that Kangna won’t be able to do for at least a couple of months.  “I cannot run, do serious movements or dance for the next couple of months.

But that’s okay because when it happened to me, I thought I had lost my leg.

Injured Kangana Ranaut adds 7 Kgs

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut has been recuperating at her parent’s house in Manali from the break that she incurred while shooting for the movie Tanu Weds Manu. Little did she know that all the bed relax will result in her gaining some pounds, just twelve days of break and gorging on Indian home made food has led to putting on 7 kgs.

The tragedy has been that her costumes for the movie have to be made all over again which would easily amount more than Rs 2 lakh.Strangely, the producer of the film, instead of grumbling is happy about her new curvy avatar. In fact designer Reza is already sent to Manali to take Kangna’s new measurements for the costumes.

Reason that the producer is unmindful of shelling extra 2 lakh is that Kangana has got typical Punjabi build after gaining weight thus looking perfect for the role of Punjabi kudi that she is playing in the movie and now she does not have to take more efforts to put on weight for the Punjab schedule that is slated soon after she recovers.

Director loses 1.5 cr because of Kangana

Kangana Ranaut newly went through a unexpected accident while she was shooting for her movie, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in Jalandher. But this accident has burnt a hole in producer Sailesh Singh’s pocket as he has underwent a massive loss of about 1.5 crore for this. Sailesh who was about to insure the film regrets not doing it before. “I should have insured it.

The tragic part is that I had spoken to an insurance agent on March 27 and we were supposed to get the movie insured by end of the week. Unluckily, the accident happened on March 28.”Kangana’s foot was  injured badly and has been advised to follow a total bed-rest by the doctors. The actress is now back to Mumbai.

The month-long program has been cancelled and Kangna’s co-star R Madhavan and Jimmy Shergill were asked to pack up and go home. Shailesh has to work on the combination dates of the three actors and start again the shooting by April 15.

And Kangana Ranaut falls down

Kangana Ranaut is going to be out of action for at least week, after having sustained a minor fracture following a bike accident. The actress was shooting in Punjab for her movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ when it happened. She was shooting a scene where she’s riding a bike, and she also happened to be wearing ghungroos on her feet.

The actress lost her balance, and when the bike spun out of control, she hurt herself. What added to the injuries were the ghungroos on her feet, which pierced her skin an led to bleeding on her feet.
Following the accident, Kangana has been advised bed rest for a week.

We hope the actress takes it easy and gets well soon. And that she’s more careful when riding bikes, while wearing traditional Indian accessories like the ghungroo!

Sanjay Dutt Knocks Out Kangana Ranaut

50-year old Sanjay Dutt has been shooting with 20-something Kangana Ranaut. And if they were looking super-compatible in spite of Kangana being half the age of Dutt, it’s all because of Dutt’s special ketosis-based diet.Says a source close to Dutt, “Sanjay went on this special diet in June. It required him to take lots and lots of fattie food and no carbohydrates at all. In fact carbs would’ve been potentially lethal for this diet. In no time Sanjay started losing weight. And that too without Sanju having to give up his favourite food.”

Today, Dutt is looking trimmer than he did ten years ago. And when he shot with Kangana last week, the camera made them look compatible.Dutt plays an assassin out to get his victim with a sniper rifle in Knock Out. Kangana Ranaut has always had a fascination for assassin heroes. She began her career with Gangster where her assassin-hero was Shiney Ahuja.Now in Mani Shankar’s Knock Out, she’s again attracted to the killer-hero, this time played by Sanjay Dutt.

The two became professionally fond of one another while shooting for the comedy No Problem in Cape Town. When Mani Shankar was looking for a bright intense young actress to play a television journalist it was Dutt who recommended Kangana to the director.

Rai of Strangers fame, has Kangana paired with R. Madhavan. It was after much deliberation that Kangana was finalised for the role. The character that Kangana would be playing in Tanu Weds Manu is such that it is of paramount importance to get the casting right,” said Rai. Kangana, who has played a traumatised women in most of her films, was signed on for her first comic role by Anil Kapoor for his production No Problem, a comedy directed by Anees Bazmee.Before venturing into comedy, Kangana did a series of serious films.While she was haunted by ghosts in Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Fashion had her playing a supermodel who fell to drugs and abuse.

Life In A… Metro showed her in a turbulent affair with a much married boss (Kay Kay Menon), Woh Lamhe had her play a schizophrenic while in Gangster she played an alcoholic moll to a gangster (Shiney Ahuja).Director Rai, however, is confident that she will pull off the role in Tanu Weds Manu.”Yes, I have studied her filmography quite closely and I know for sure that Tanu Weds Manu would finally showcase Kangana in a different light. There is a definite humour to the film which thankfully is poles apart from life vs death roles that Kangana has played in the past,” he said.Explaining the reason behind finalising Kangana, Rai said: “When I was narrating the film to her, she came across as someone who was very passionate and energetic when it came to films. Moreover, what worked for me was the fact that she was taking a personal view on the subject. Now that’s the kind of girl I wanted for the film since I wanted her to add something of her own to the character as well.

But before Kangana, Rai had approached Konkona Sen Sharma but she couldn’t accept the offer due to date problems.”There were genuine date issues due to which Konkona couldn’t come on board. We are looking at shooting the film in the months of September, October and November but she is unavailable then. However, I’m happy about Kangana now being signed for the film since she and Madhavan coming together would be really special for the film.Rai had earlier made Strangers, a thriller that had Jimmy Sheirgill and Kay Kay Menon.”After working on Strangers, it is nice to be working on a light-hearted entertainer with a sensitive love story at its heart. The film has an interesting soul while going well with the commercial aspects of things. I would be travelling across my locations through the next few days and begin shooting in September,” he said.The filmmaker said his movie would be shot in places like Lucknow, Kanpur, Faridkot, Patiala and New Delhi.

Sushmita helps Kangana shed driving phobia

Known in the industry circles for their independent personas, Kangana Ranaut and Sushmita Sen are doing a film together for the first time. The film is Anees Bazmee directed No Problem which is produced by Anil Kapoor. Presently the shooting for the film is on in South Africa with the entire ensemble cast present including Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut, Neetu Chandra and Paresh Rawal. Our unit sources reveal both Sush and Kangana have bonded so well that Sush is now seen encouraging Kangana to take up driving more seriously.Kangana is known to have driving phobia.

Though the independent actress owns a car she hates driving and the reason is she doesn’t feel that she is confident enough to drive around the Mumbai city. When in South Africa, Sush came to know about this and started taking extra efforts in encouraging Kangana to try driving in South Africa as much as she can. She even started hoping into the car herself and sitting next to Kangana began giving her instructions as she drove short distances around their hotel there.Now this has begun to work wonders slowly and Kangana has started to enjoy driving.
