Pooja Gupta was the winner of Miss India Universe in the year 2007. Pooja Gupta later went to Mexico to participate at Miss Universe 2007. Wearing a gunmetal gown with Mongol inspired beadwork designed by Hemant Trivedi, the actress reached the top ten finishing in 9th position.
Born in New Delhi on January 30, 1985, Pooja Gupta came to the limelight after winning the Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe which was organized by Pantaloons, a clothing line and Femina, a women's magazine in India. Pooja Gupta was offered to persuade her career in Hindi film fraternity and her interests also included drawing, traveling, writing, doing yoga and horse riding. Pooja Gupta who is really hardworking will be making her film debut in Puja films upcoming movie F.A.L.T.U. She encouraged tourism in Germany as an Indian ambassador. Ten in Mexico out of 86 countries and also worked on spreading awareness for Aids with names like Ashley Judd and Bono. Pooja Gupta is also well-trained in Martial Arts. Her upcoming Bollywood movie is salted to hit the theaters on April 1, 2011 and is directed by Remo D’ Souza and produced by Vashu Bhagnani respectively. The buzz is also making rounds these days that her upcoming film is currently facing an identity crisis.
The movie also features Jackky Bhagnani, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi. Many stars like Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, R Madhavan, Sahil Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be appearing in cameo roles in the movie. The film's soundtrack is composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. We hope and wish that with her debut Pooja Gupta would charm the audiences by her performance.
