Lisa Ray made her first debut in 1994 in a Tamil movie opposite actor Sarath Kumar in the film Nethaji where she appeared in a brief role. Lisa began her Bollywood acting career with the film Kasoor in 2001 opposite Aftab Shivdasani. Lisa Ray's was also casted in Deepa Mehta's romantic Indian-Canadian romp, Bollywood/Hollywood in 2002.
In 2005, Lisa worked again with Deepa Mehta in the Oscar-nominated film, Water. Other films of the actress includes All Hat, A Stone's Throw and 50's apartheid South Africa in The World Unseen and a Christian-Arab lesbian in I Can't Think Straight that was directed by Shamim Sarif.
In 2007, the beautiful actress was also seen in a contemporary Hollywood film Kill Kill Faster Faster. Featured in the Canadian edition of Hello magazine as one of the '50 Most Beautiful People' of the country the actress is suffering from incurable cancer. But the actress knows how to move on and has given her nod to a film based on Charles Sobhraj Lisa Raybiopic, opposite Sanjay Dutt.
