Chitrangada Singh Opposite John Abraham

The gorgeous Chitrangda Singh is finally making her presence felt, at least as far as signing movies in concerned. The otherwise choosy actress has signed her next movie opposite dashing John Abraham, being directed by Goldie Behl.

The beautiful actress says, “Yes, I am doing Goldie Behl’s next. Its opposite John Abraham. The movie is untitled now. We begin shooting from 17th February. Its a drama. But I can not reveal more about it right now”. Reportedly, Chitrangada will also be seen with John Abraham in Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut, Desi Boyz. But they arre not paired opposite each other in that movie.

Meanwhile, Chitrangada Singh’s Yeh Saali Zindagi opposite Irrfan Khan is slated to release on 4 February. Its directed by Sudhir Mishra.

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham spotted together!

 Bipasha Basu and John Abraham spend increasing time apart and fuel rumours of their relationship hitting a rough patch. Again! Things are contrastingly different from the good ol' times when the two were spotted together quite regularly and never shied away from public display of their affection. Now, the two haven't made an appearance in the longest time.

Given, Bips has been keeping a low profile off late herself. But at Hrithik Roshan's birthday bash she arrived with designer Rocky S by her side and not her long-time companion. A source reveals, "She was keen that John accompany her but he preferred to skip it.


Interestingly, Bipasha's ex Dino Morea was also at the same party and this has sent the gossip mill running faster. When asked to comment on her relationship status, Bipasha quickly defends, "I am used to this now. Both of us have been busy so we have not been seen in public. I was travelling for work and he's been shooting for Vipul Shah's film. All going good!"
Three years since the Christiano-Bipasha kiss fiasco, Bipasha and John have been quite steady with talks of marriage doing the rounds. Forgive us, but it does come as a surprise to see a couple so serious go down the break-lane! We sure hope not.

John Abraham’s killer looks in ‘Force’!

One cannot but agree with the fact that John Abraham has one of the best bodies in our tinsel town. However, despite the fact that the hunk has a physique which makes him a perfect choice for pure action thrillers, John has kept away from hard-core action flicks, the only exception being ‘Dhoom’ where his chemistry with bikes was more than obvious.

Now, finally John has turned to flaunting his perfectly toned body with eight-pack abs in a pure action flick produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Nishikant Kamat of Mumbai Meri Jaan fame. The movie is the remake of the Tamil film Kakha Kakha and chirpy Genelia D’Souza will play his love interest in the film.

Though the storyline of the movie has been kept into wraps, it is known that John plays an encounter specialist and given his killer looks in the poster just released one can definitely say that John is out to set many a heart ablaze there!!

John Abraham wants to insure his butt

Who can forget John Abraham’s yellow trunks and sexy butt in Dostana! Following the Hollywood trend of insuring body parts, John has shown interest in insuring his killer bottom, that too for a whopping Rs 10 crore.

If this happens John will be the first Bollywood star to do so. In India celebrities don’t insure their body parts unlike in the west, but the trend seems to be catching up here as well after a host of Hollywood stars getting their anatomical assets insured. According to a source, rupees ten crores is a big amount of insurance and John has to pay a handsome premium for it. But the star with an enviable bum has no hiccups, whatever the price may be.

 

Confirming the news to a daily, John who recently suffered from a minor muscle problem, is quoted as saying, “I agree that there is an initiative from my side but this is a work-in-progress. I am meeting various people for this. At this point, I would not like to say more.”

 

The sensational singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has got $27 million insurance policy for her sexy derriere.

AR Rahman Spoils John Abraham’s Party Bash

The cast and crew of Abbas Tyrewala’s next were planning to combine the wrap up bash with a housewarming party at John Abraham’s new pad in Bandra. However, AR Rahman played spoilsport by calling producer Madhu Mantena and director Tyrewala to attend his concert in Wembley on Sunday night and with John Abraham travelling to Malaysia to shoot a commercial, his first house party has been put off for the time being. Confirming this Madhu says, “You cannot say no to Rahman when he calls. By calling us to London he managed to squeeze in some recording for our movie and even put up a rocking show. Watching him live is always a different experience. The wrap up party went for a toss, but Abbas and I are having a great time in London”.

 

On his return from London in a few days, Madhu plans to rework the dates to organize another party, “Of course we will celebrate. Once we come back and speak to John there will be another party which, would not be cancelled”.

Bipasha:We are not hosting party for Dhoni

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has denied reports that she along with boyfriend John Abraham will throw a party for their friend, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Rawat.

'Ok for everyone who thinks me and John are hosting a party for Mahi, just want to say it is a rumour. Not true!' Bipasha clarified through micro-blogging site Twitter.

 

John and Bipasha are close friends of Dhoni, who tied the knot with Sakshi Sunday evening at a very private affair on the outskirts of Dehradun Sunday evening, a day after the couple's hush-hush engagement.

 

While John made it to the wedding, Bipasha couldn't attend the event as she was busy shooting in Diu for Priyadarshan's 'Aakrosh'.

 

'I'll celebrate with Dhoni and his wife when they return to Mumbai,' she had earlier posted on Twitter.

John Abraham wants to reduce his extra weight

Sometimes it gets really tough for an actor to get into the skin of his character. Ask John Abraham who’s been pumping the iron relentlessly to put on extra weight for the beefed up look to play the rough and tough narcotics officer in Vipul Shah’s Hindi remake of the south film Khaka Khaka.

For this film, to be directed by Nishikant Kamat, John has already put on eight kilos. But as soon as he’s done with shooting Khaka Khaka, John will have to lose all the weight he’s gaining in just a span of few days because he’s also given his dates to Dostana 2 which requires him to look in perfect shape for a beach hunk.

 

To attain a bulkier look for the first film, John has been working out everyday under the guidance of a trainer. Meanwhile, he’s hired another trainer to help him lose weight after the filming of Khaka Khaka is over.

 

John says he’s looking forward to keep working on the beefier look till June 20, after which he’s start working for the chiselled out physique for Dostana 2 which rolls in July.

 

Even John admits that such a drastic change in a short interval is not good for body. But what to do? He’s got professional commitments to meet.

John wants to change his character

He is currently working for a producer-director who has given mega hits like Singh Is Kinng and Namastey London. But Bollywood’s stylish hunk John Abraham is reportedly not willing to comply with what Vipul Amrutlal Shah wants him to do for his film.

The actor, who is playing a cop in the movie, first declined to sport a moustache for the role and is now reportedly adamant to not wear the khakhi police uniform. As sources tell a tabloid, John has even asked the director to change his character from a cop to a narcotics officer.

 

The movie has Asin opposite John for the first time. Apparently, John doesn’t find his role stylish enough for the big screen. Wearing a uniform for most part of the film can make his look boring. He wants to go for smart formals like jackets for his role which he can only wear when his role changes to a narcotics officer.

Bipasha doesn't feel the need to marry John!

Bipasha and John have been together for almost eight years now and have kept the media guessing when they will finally get married and it seems fans will have to wait longer as the hottest couple of Bollywood  Bipasha Basu and John Abraham haven't felt the need to say "I do" as yet. Bipasha says that she has full faith in the institution of marriage but her relationship with John is so fulfilling that she doesn't feel the need to marry John.

"There are no plans and there is no pressure to get married. And actually we don't feel the need to get married now. We do believe in the institution of marriage. Our intentions were very clear since year one that the relationship is for keeps.” Bipasha said.

 

These days Bipasha Basu has been shooting in Goa for Rohan Sippy drug-busting thriller Dum Maro Dum. Bipasha plays a bohemian character called Zoyee, a free-spirited Goan girl who gets involved with the drug racket in Goa. The actress says it was her distress for the crime rate against female tourists that prompted her to take up this role, "I'm really concerned about what's happening in Goa. When I took up this role I saw it as a vehicle to create a certain awareness about the reality of the crime rate on the beaches of Goa." Bipasha added.

Bipasha-John relationship is over


It seems that is the spell of break-ups in Bollywood. After Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have parted ways. They were touted as one of the best pairs of Bollywood. Marriage was also on the cards. Alas! Luck had some other plans.John and Bipasha were dating each other since 2002.It is believed that since last year, the couple was having constant fights and coldness was the reason, which led to the divide.
Sources close to couple state, John Abraham is known to have a Casanova image.Although earlier Bipasha didn’t bother about it much, it’s believed that off late, Bipasha Basu was getting more and more insecure about John’s playful image. To add to that, John’s pairing opposite Pakhi in Abbas Tyrewala’s ‘1-800-Love’ didn’t go very well with Bipasha.Reportedly, John and Pakhi became very close friends during the shoot.”
Earlier too during the making of Salaam-e-Ishq Vidya Balan and John came close to each other and Bipasha’s uncertainty reached it’s high. Though John somehow salvaged the situation. A common friend of Bipasha and John confirmed the development and said, “Yes, John and Bipasha have broken up.The differences between them were too much to handle for Bipasha who finally broke-up with John.

Kaakha Kaakha goes to Hindi

Kollywood's master filmmaker Gautam Menon's super hit police story Kaakha Kaakha (2003), which was remade in Telugu as Gharshana with Venkatesh and Asin in the lead roles, will be remake in Hindi with John Abraham as the hero.

Making his directorial debut with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Gautam Menon earlier approached Sunny Deol and Fardeen Khan for the lead role, before John gave his nod for the Hindi version which will be produced by Vipul Shah.

"The film was announced in 2007, but after things didn’t materialise between Gautam and Sunny, it was put on hold. Later, Feroze Khan bought the rights of the film and wanted to cast his son Fardeen in the lead role. After he expired, the film was shelved indefinitely before John came to the rescue. The film will hit the floors later this year,” a source was quoted as saying.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have been missing from the bustle of Bollywood since last few days. Turns out the love birds were holidaying in Australia.

We hear that the trip was originally planned to coincide with Bipasha’s birthday in the first week of January but the busy shooting schedules made it impossible for them to holiday together then.

 

Now, finding a 10-day break in their hectic schedules, Jo-Bi flew off to Sydney and Melbourne where they binged on local food and did adventure sports like snorkeling and Scuba diving.

 

“It was a 10-day holiday without any phones and lots of food. We gorged on all kinds of local food but went out for our workouts too,” Bipasha told a news daily after her arrival back to Mumbai.

One of the best looking hunks of Bollywood is now set to team up with a Hollywood hottie. John Abraham will pair with a Hollywood actress in director Shirish Kunder’s much-touted ‘Alien Sahib’.

If reports are to be believed, Kunder is hoping to rope in either Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway for the film which will be made for global audiences. The director plans to use the fusion 3D camera technique for the flick and will be signing a lot of technicians from the west for it. But the big surprise is indeed the presence of a Hollywood actress.

 

“The female protagonist is a foreign national so we decided to cast a Hollywood actress for it,” Kunder is quoted as saying in a media report.

 

Though Shirish refuses to divulge any name, he’s flying to Los Angeles to meet the agents of a couple of Hollywood actresses.

 

With the meeting of talents from two the biggest filmmaking industries in the world, the possibility of a Hollywood actress working in a Bollywood movie is much more today than it was a few years ago. Just earlier this year, we saw Akshay Kumar romancing Denise Richards and rubbing shoulders with Sylvester Stallone in Kambakkht Ishq. John already has the advantage of having had international exposure through Deepa Mehta’s film Water which was nominated for the Oscars two years back.

Bollywood’s handsome dude John Abraham is raising his voice for safe sex, he has made a pledge and wants other to follow. So, are you with him?

 

The actor has join hands with the anti-Aids campaign ‘I Pledge’ organized by Smita Thackeray’s Mukti Foundation to promote safe sex.

Perfect ambassador John has also pledged to make the difference through his commitment. “I want the youth to pledge to practice safe sex, to be faithful to partners, get tested for HIV, spread awareness, use new syringes and not visit commercial sex workers.”

 

According to Smita, John is the perfect choice, “I wanted a youth icon to take the same pledge I had taken (to eradicate HIV) and encourage our youth to do the same.”

 

“I will come wherever they call me to talk about the subject and propagate safe sex. I want to tell everyone; especially the youth that we need to have safe sex and wear condoms,” John is quoted by a tabloid.

Blue director Anthony D'Souza has been hit by a bolt from the blue.

Even before the release of his directorial debut, D’Souza had been speaking about doing his second film with John Abraham. The director was so vocal about his desire to work with John that he all but confirmed the star’s presence in not just one but two of his forthcoming films - ‘Aerial’ and ‘Blue 2’.

Meanwhile, John is amused that D’Souza is chalking out plans of doing films with him without even having any discussions.

While D’Souza must have thought that after the good run of ‘Blue’, John would be game to work with him, the actor has now dashed the director’s big claims by diplomatically stating that he’s not signed any film with him.

“I have immense respect for Anthony...however, I am neither doing any film titled Aerial nor any underwater film. I am also not doing Blue 2,” John is quoted as saying by a tabloid.

Meanwhile, the buzz is that Anthony wants to reprise the cast of ‘Blue’ in the film’s sequel as well.

John Abraham says that he will think about marrying a girl only after he adds four more bikes to his collection.

“I love motorcycles, I am married to them and I have had a honeymoon period with them. I don’t let anyone sit on my
bikes or touch them,” the actor said.

It is said that the 36-year-old actor is so protective of his bikes that even his girlfriend of seven years actress Bipasha Basu doesn’t like to sit on them.

“Bipasha doesn’t like sitting behind me on bikes as I keep complaining about the bike getting scratched or damaged,” said the actor, who has been chosen the brand ambassador for Yamaha Motor in India.

The actor, who made a whole new statement in Bollywood with his biking acts in action-oriented movie like Dhoom, was in the capital to launch new bike models from Yamaha.

Abraham also recalled his first encounter with a bike.

“I first saw my brother’s bike when I was a 11-year-old kid. I fell in love with it right then, but my brother never
let me touch his bike,” said the actor.

He also urged enthusiasts to go for safe biking and take precautionary measures.

“I have had many bike accidents and in a busy city one has to be very careful while riding. I use different helmets for different days as they are important for your safety,” the actor said.

The actor emphasised both safety and style in his love with his bikes.

Well, before you raise your eyebrows and feel pity for Bipasha Basu, let us divulge that the Bollywood hunk, John Abraham, is not married to any girl but his bikes. John’s love for his bikes is well known to all of us and he has been a brand ambassador for the auto giant, Yamaha Motors in India, for quite a few years now. Recently, when he was in New Delhi to launch Yamaha’s new superbike ‘VMAX’ (priced at Indian Rupees 2,000,000), he said that he had no desires to settle down soon in life as he was already married to his bikes. He added that he would marry Bipasha only after adding four more bikes to his collection.

John Abraham hit hard by economic recession

John Abraham

Thanks to the recession, John Abraham’s film, which was to be directed by Sabal Shekhawat and produced by Indian Films (Studio 18), has come to a halt. Studio 18 has backed out ofthe film giving recession as the reason for doing so.Whilethe filmhasn’t been shelved because both John and Sabal are very keen on doing it, though they are not sure when the movie will start filming.

Studio 18 felt that the budget of the film was too high for recessionary times and that they should bring it down.But Sabal wasn’t ready to do so. John too, is supporting Sabal (Sabal is the director who gave John his first modelling break). They have even decided on Turkey as their location for the shoot and a new producer is keen on doing the film .

The jamboree gets bigger and better, Danny Boyle and Anurag Kashyap’s much anticipated movie, ‘Bombay Velvet’, which has been in the pipeline for quite some time, also stars John Abraham along with Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

In fact, the news is that John was the first actor to be signed for this film, an international epic. The film has three segments and according to reports, Shahrukh and Aamir will star in the first and third segment of the film whilst John has been cast in the second segment.

The cool dude of Bollywood has even started to work on his character as the role requires him to change his body language along with mannerisms. John will play a hero of the masses from the 1960s with his role being based on a real person.

John and Anurag bonded over the filming of No Smoking and Anurag is said to have been keen to have John as part of the film.
