Salma Agha a popular singer from Pakistan also acted in Indian films in the 80s and the early 90s. Salma Agha won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award in 1982 for the ghazal "Dil ke Armaan" in Nikaah.
The actress hails from a very profound family of famous actress Anwari Begum who played the character of Heer in the first ever Punjabi film in the Indian sub-continent Heer Ranjha in the year 1932.
Salma Agha along with her sister Sabina produced as well as sang for a record called AGHA. Most prominent directors of Indian cinema including big names like B.R. Chopra roped in Salma to play the character of Neelofar in his movie Talaq Talaq Talaq (later which was titled as Nikah) which helped the actress to make her mark in Bollywood.
With this successful debut Salma earned a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress. Salma also worked in Pakistani movies.
