Raima Sen
Raima Sen was born on 11 November 1979 and is the daughter of actress Moon Moon Sen and the granddaughter of legendary actress Suchitra Sen. Raima Sen comes from a royal family, her father Bharat Dev Varma is a member of the royal family of Tripura. She is also related to Ila Devi, the princess of Cooch Behar, whose younger sister Gayatri Devi was the Maharani of Jaipur. She uses her grandmother's maiden name on screen, although her real surname is Dev Varma.
Godmother was Raima Sen's debut film, which was a critically acclaimed success but she only got to play a small role in it. Next was Daman as Raveena Tandon's daughter. But it was Rituparno Ghosh's film Chokher Bali that won her praise. However, it was Parineeta that established her has an actor. Since then she has had two more hits with the action thriller Dus and the Bengali film Antar Mahal. Recently, she appeared in the film The Bong Connection (co-starring Shayan Munshi). Raima Sen has signed several south Indian films lately. However, she is yet to deliver a real big hit as playing the lead role.
